The Herdade Tapada do Ribeiro e Vale da Sardinha, with a total area of 47.3 hectares, is located between Medelim and Monsanto, Portugal's most typical village and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, in the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova.
The estate includes a wide variety of buildings, including a beautiful two-storey house with a garden that is in a state of renovation. It is also flanked by fertile agricultural and forest land.
Also included in this splendid property are a few more buildings for cattle management and farming, a milking parlour, a small cheese dairy and a small house reserved for the caretakers.
The estate has natural resources that range from the excellent quality and purity of its abundant water to the superior quality of its soils, which make this a place with much appreciated potential in the region for agricultural activity.
The water resources are made up of a storage dam that supplies the entire agricultural area, a well with a daughter-in-law and two streams with water.
The land is occupied by areas of eucalyptus, olive trees and some cork oaks, but there is also plenty of open land for farming.
Excluded from the SCE under Article 4(g) of Decree-Law 118/2013 of 20 August, in its current wording.
