In the winter, 65 kilometers of groomed cross-country track branch out from the center. Also in the winter, the town hosts Snowfest, North Lake Tahoe's version of Mardi Gras, with parades, live music, and snow play. A mélange of playful year-round activities, boutique shops, acclaimed restaurants and seasonal festivals awaits every visitor and local of the beautiful Tahoe City. Tahoe City is located just minutes from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Sunnyside and Homewood Resort and connected to these iconic destinations by a paved bike bath that runs along the Truckee River and the shores of Lake Tahoe.
