At the age of 27-not too long into his career in corporate finance, working for Paramount Pictures and CBS Television-Austin Krock achieved the American dream of purchasing and owning a home (near the iconic Hollywood sign). Soon after this he helped renovate an income property in Pasadena for his family. These experiences led him to switch from working in the entertainment industry to a successful career in real estate. In his free time, Austin enjoys spending time with family, golfing, hiking and working on renovation projects.

What does it take to be the best in the business?
"A thorough understanding of the nuances of the contracts, staying up-to-date on the community at large and maintaining relationships with not only your clients but with other agents and brokerages. The more you dedicate yourself to the job, the more you get out of it."

What's most rewarding about your work?
"Being a part of my clients' lives by helping them make informed and sound decisions is the biggest reward. Keeping their best interest at the forefront of how I conduct business is what motivates me day in and day out."

What keeps you interested in real estate?
"My clients keep me interested. Every day is something new with them. Lives are always evolving. A career change, newlyweds, a new addition to a family, and sadly even death or divorce requires me to stay up-to-date with the market. Not knowing what is around the corner keeps me on my toes and keeps me motivated so that I am prepared to help at any given moment."

What do your clients love about living in the South Bay?
"The beach, weather, schools and family environment are what draw my clients to the South Bay."

Do you have a personal motto or philosophy for doing business?
"My late brother taught me to 'be a leader.' I am picking up where he last left."
