Approximately 7 km away you can enjoy the well-known Praia dos Marretas, located in Torrao do Lameiro, with an extensive sandy beach measuring approximately 3kms of fine sand and where its rough sea attracts surfers and bodyboarders.
As part of the special protection zone of the Ria de Aveiro, the extensive lagoon area of Murtosa offers a natural heritage that differentiates unique landscape beauty with a high environmental richness.
The Ria de Aveiro is a unique lagoon ecosystem, which extends for around 45 km from Ovar to Mira.
Due to the flat characteristics of this municipality, it is possible to follow 5 walking and cycling routes, which showcase the beauty landscape, culture and history of Murtosa.
The urban center of Torreira is also served by an extensive network of cycle paths, inviting visitors to take long bike rides in full communion with nature, in this territory located between the Ria and the sea.
The area is ideal for nautical activities such as surfing, sailing and windsurfing.
Nearby, there are areas of special biological interest such as the Dunas de S. Jacinto Natural Reserve.
The characteristics of the area, the proximity to Dr. Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport (about 50 minutes) and the proximity to the A1 and A29 and A25 and consequently to the border area of Spain, make this an easily accessible place with plenty of tourist potential.

Its strategic location allows you to quickly reach several urban centers (Murtosa, Estarreja, Ovar, Aveiro) as well as well-known beaches in the area (Torreira, Sao Jacinto, Praia dos Marretas).
