Nestenn has for itself an Island located in the Municipality of Barreiro, between the Vasco da Gama Bridge and the 25 de Abril Bridge surrounded by the waters of the Tagus River, with a surrounding beach and boat access.

Barreiro is a Portuguese city in the district of Setubal. In the centuries. XVIII-XIX, the locality developed a lot, for having been established here the terminus of the line of Railways south and southeast, thus becoming a busy place where many people passed and that attracted the settlement of populations and many industries.
