This development is located in Sao Teotonio, on the Alentejo coast and just 10 km from the beaches of Zambujeira do Mar and Carvalhal. It is located on a farm with 10 hectares of land and is currently being operated as a rural hotel. It has a main house, with 4 bedrooms, living room and kitchen and another 18 tourist accommodation units, including Double to Family Rooms, Studios with kitchenette and Apartments with 1 and 2 Bedrooms, also with kitchenette. All have air conditioning and a private terrace to the garden/outdoors. It has shaded parking for 20 cars and a private garage for 4 cars. The common areas are very spacious, with a living room with double height ceilings and modern lines, with a modern fireplace of sophisticated design that invites you to rest and leisure. A multipurpose room, currently functioning as a games room and a covered outdoor area, used as a bar and chill-out area invite socialising, and this development is often used for company events or even weddings.
This property also includes a modern restaurant, equipped with a professional kitchen, with an indoor capacity for 70 people and a terrace for 50 people. In fact, its glass curtains that can be removed from top to bottom allow for greater flexibility in the area, extending its interior to the terrace, creating a unique space. The entire project was designed to be sustainable and respect the environment. Several solar panels were installed, both for water heating and for the production of photovoltaic energy for self-consumption, allowing for increased energy efficiency, in addition to the existing connection to the medium voltage public electricity grid. It also has an annex prepared for reception and a complete independent laundry, as well as several storage spaces and a wine cellar. This architectural project has been worthy of several international distinctions and references in the specialised press. In fact, the old ruin on the land has been carefully restored, maintaining its original charm of a typical Alentejo house, in a perfect symbiosis with modern architecture and careful decoration, in order to offer the greatest comfort to its guests. In fact, architectural details are present everywhere, with interior gardens in some rooms and large light intrudes in the living room.
As a tourist enterprise, it has been gaining national and international notoriety. It even won the Award for Best Rural Tourism in Alentejo in 2015, just one year after its inauguration. Since then, it has been captivating a sophisticated but relaxed clientele, with the foreign market already representing more than 50% of the total number of guests. Many of the families who visit this space return year after year. It is a unique space, surrounded by the nature of the natural park of Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina, with pre-authorisation for expansion up to an area of 4,000m2 of construction, for tourist use.
It is a perfect space to disconnect from daily stress and to recharge your batteries, either in one of the many hammocks in the shade of a cork oak tree or in one of the sun loungers placed in the garden around the two pools.
