Quinta da Fonte Velha, in Sintra, is located in the Serra de Sintra Natural Park, and its history is intertwined with the history of the city itself. There are 11 hectares of total area of this beautiful property, with its privileged location in the village of Penedo, in the parish of Colares.
Its characteristics make it a place of peace and tranquillity to live, and its natural aspects provide the possibility of exploring tourism projects linked to nature and the environment. Quinta Fonte Velha has a water source and reservoirs enhanced by the existence of mines. Its vegetation is composed of a wide variety of natural species such as acacias, chestnut trees, walnut trees, strawberry trees, pines, lemon trees, among others.
The existing 470m2 construction, in ruin, allows the recovery of the urban part of the property, located in the urban rehabilitation area (ARU) of Colares. A large and unimpeded view, it extends from the Serra de Sintra Natural Park to the Pena Palace, from where it is possible to see the sea and the entire area of the city of Sintra.
