In this project, architect Bartolomeu Costa Cabral valued the interaction of the building with the surrounding space and living conditions. The traditional construction technique of southern Portugal's Taipa was chosen, combined with a concrete structure, ensuring excellent thermal properties for the whole. The soil used in the taipa was locally sourced, promoting a natural and balanced integration with the surrounding terrain.

Electricity is supplied by a photovoltaic solar panel system, stored in batteries, while hot water is generated by thermal solar panels and sourced from a well. The central heating system is powered by fireplaces and radiators connected to a diesel boiler. Thermal control of the residence is ensured by a roof with a 5 cm water layer protected by insulating slabs, with a ventilation system to increase evaporation, keeping the house cool in summer.

Location: about 15 minutes by car from the center and Beja Airport, 25 minutes from the highway to Lisbon and the Algarve, 1h50 from Lisbon Airport, and 1h40 from Faro Airport.
